Upload videos to YouTube from a smartphone or tablet

Once you’ve recorded your video, you can upload it to YouTube to share it with others. You can choose how public or private you’d like your videos to be:

·          Public - allows anybody to be able to search for and view the video on YouTube.

·          Unlisted - prevents people from searching for the video, but allows anybody who has the link to view the video.

·          Private – allows only the people you specifically invite to be able to view the video.

If you’re recording your video on a smartphone or tablet, the easiest way to get it online is to upload it directly from your device, using the YouTube app.

You can download the YouTube app for free from the App Store (iPhone and iPad) or the Play Store (Android).

Tip: Don’t use all your data!

To avoid using up your mobile data allowance, it’s a good idea to set your device to only upload videos when it’s connected to a wifi network. In the app menu, choose Settings > General > Uploads, then select Only when on Wi-Fi.

7.     Tap the Upload icon. Your Uploads page reappears, showing the progress of your video’s upload.

When it’s finished, your video is available to share.
