Throughout your time at Swinburne Online you’ll be supported every step of the way. We know your day doesn’t always begin at 9am and finish at 5pm, so we’ve extended our support hours to ensure you can get the answers you need when you want them.

Student Advisors

Whether you need help with essay writing, technology support or research advice you’ll have immediate access to a support team who are ready to assist.

Assignment assistance

In conjunction with your eLearning Advisor, Studiosity offers feedback on assignment drafts, structure, grammar and more.

Virtual classroom

Learning happens in a virtual classroom through small study and discussion groups led by an industry-experienced tutor.

Not only do we have the right tools and support teams to promptly answer your academic questions or help you through technical problems – we have people who care about your success. Student Advisors are available: 8:00 am – 9:00 pm Monday – Friday AEST or AEDT 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on weekends AEST or AEDT

When it comes to managing your time and staying motivated, Student Coaches are a great resource. They can help you set realistic goals and stay motivated.

Swinburne Online students can book a call to speak to a Student Coach at a time that suits.

Study Groups

Whilst studying with Swinburne Online you’ll be interacting with fellow students all the time. Learning with and from other students is a great way to gain a deeper knowledge of your chosen subject matter.

Online study groups will have between 25 and 30 students and will be facilitated by your eLearning Advisor.

When completing your degree, there is a vast amount of technical support at your disposal, both on our website and through our support team. If you can’t find what you need on our Student Portal Technical Support section then get in touch with one of our Student Advisors on 1300 937 765 from Australia, +61 3 9956 0777 for Australian citizens living overseas and 800 8001 1222 for international students, anytime between 9am–9pm (AEST) Monday to Friday and 10am–6pm (AEST) on weekends and public holidays.

We have a whole variety of support options available to students seven days a week, so no one is ever left feeling alone. For students studying a degree with us, your small online class of 20-24 students is run by a dedicated online tutor (eLearning Advisor), who will always be happy to respond to your questions. Our Student Advisors (SAs) are a team of academic/technical and administrative specialists who can be contacted seven days a week. They can help with issues from advice on assignments to problems with logging in to the Student Portal. We also have online assessment support options that will cater to a range of academic needs. For VET students, everything you need to know to complete your diploma is housed in our unique system called Canvas. However, if you do find yourself with questions one of our VET student team are on hand.

At Swinburne Online, each unit you study will be run by an online tutor with years of industry experience. The tutors are called e-Learning Advisors and they have been trained to teach specifically in an online environment. You can contact your e-Learning Advisor via the discussion boards in the student portal, or via email for a timely response.
