Your course structure
The Diploma of Human Resource Management (BSB50320) consists of 12 units, including three Introductory Human Resources Skills units and nine Human Resource Management units.
This diploma requires that you first complete three units in Introductory Human Resources Skills to develop your foundational skills and knowledge. With the Introductory Skills Course complete, you gain automatic entry into the diploma.
This course includes both graded (scored between 50–100) and ungraded (Competent or Not Yet Competent) units. Where grading is applied, this occurs over and above the determination of competency. The inclusion of grading occurs to allow articulation into higher education programs.

To ensure you have the best chance of successfully completing your diploma, you may enter this course if you meet any of the below criteria.
Have completed the following units (or equivalent competencies):
- BSBHRM411 Administer performance development processes
- BSBHRM412 Support employee and industrial relations
- BSBHRM415 Coordinate recruitment and onboarding
- BSBHRM417 Support human resource functions and processes.
- Equivalent competencies are predecessors to these units, which have been mapped as equivalent.
OR
- Have two years equivalent full-time relevant work experience.
This course is not available to international students.
