Your course structure
The Diploma of Business (Operations) (BSB50120) consists of 12 units, including three Introductory Business Skills units and nine Diploma of Business (Operations) units.
This diploma requires that you first complete three units in Introductory Business Skills to develop your foundational skills and knowledge. With the Introductory Skills Course complete, you gain automatic entry into the diploma.
This course includes both graded (scored between 50–100) and ungraded (Competent or Not Yet Competent) units. Where grading is applied, this occurs over and above the determination of competency. The inclusion of grading occurs to allow articulation into higher education programs.

To ensure you have the best chance of successfully completing your diploma, you may enter this course if you meet any of the below criteria:
- Hold a Year 12 Certificate of Completion
- Completion of a Cert IV or above in any field
- Can demonstrate relevant work experience and meet the language, literacy and numeracy requirements to study at the diploma level.
This course is not available to international students.
