Resubmitting an assessment

You have the opportunity to re-submit any unsatisfactory assessments. The number of re-assessment attempts is limited to two per assessment task. You must re-submit before your agreed unit end date.

If you re-submit an unsatisfactory graded assessment task, the highest grade that can be achieved for a re-submission is 50% – Pass.

Re-marking an assessment

You have the right to challenge any graded assessment result if you can provide valid grounds for the challenge (including special consideration due to illness or personal circumstances). This is considered an informal appeal. If you are still dissatisfied, you can escalate the appeal formally to Swinburne Online’s Lead Trainer and then again through Swinburne Student Life which provides student academic advisors who can help you understand university procedures and provide advice about how to best present your case.
