About this unit
This unit gives students a thorough understanding of the function of operations management and the contribution that operations management adds to the efficient functioning of a business, particularly in the manufacturing sector. Operations management is concerned with the design and management of products, processes, services and supply chains and is applicable to all businesses and organisations. This unit will consider the acquisition, development and utilisation of resources that organizations need to deliver goods and services to their customers and clients. Students will be introduced to applied and practical approaches to systems analysis and design in order to define effective and efficient solutions to everyday problems encountered in many industries across the globe.
