What are electives and why do I need to study them?

Electives are free choice units that must be completed to meet the requirements for most of our degrees. They are included in many of our courses to give students flexibility, in terms of how they complete their degree. Their inclusion in our courses allows students to explore other subjects of interest that may not be included in the core structure of their chosen degree.
