Swinburne Online alumni grow at graduation

Swinburne Online students from across Australia will come together in Melbourne to celebrate the end of their studies at the Swinburne University of Technology graduation ceremonies on the 25th and 26th of August.

The Swinburne graduation ceremonies are an opportunity to recognise the years of hard work and dedication that go in to completing a university degree as well as give many online students the opportunity to meet for the first time in person.

Swinburne Online Academic Director Sue Kokonis said it is exciting to see the number of online graduates grow since Swinburne Online began delivering online degrees just four years ago.

Last year we saw our first six graduates finish their studies and we’re proud that since then close to 400 students have been able to finish their degree and join the ranks of the 140,000 strong Swinburne University Alumni.

Students graduating across the two ceremonies represent undergraduate and postgraduate disciplines in Swinburne Online’s BusinessCommunicationsSocial Science and Education disciplines.

All our graduates are evidence that Swinburne Online provides an environment of support for students to succeed and go on to do great things.

We wish all our graduates the best of luck in their future endeavours, Ms Kokonis said.

Those students attending the Melbourne graduation ceremonies will have the opportunity to meet with fellow students, eLAs and members of the academic team in person for the first time. All students are welcome to follow the highlights of the ceremonies on Facebook and Twitter.
