About this unit

This unit introduces students to the concept of cyber security and situates it in the context of international security more broadly. It distinguishes cyber security from other forms of security and guides students to an understanding of the complexes involved in identifying key actors in cyber security issues and in designing appropriate policy responses. The unit uses cyberterrorism as a case study to introduce students to the complexity of cyber security as an analytic and policy problem.
