Is This the Right Course for You?

At Swinburne Online we’re dedicated to helping you find a course that will give you the skills you need to reach your personal and career goals.

During the application process we'll ask you a few questions to make sure the course you've chosen and the mode of study are right for you.

Here are a few things we'll discuss with you:

Online competency

Your course will be completed entirely online, which means you will need ongoing access to the internet and word processing programs to complete tasks and assessments. When you apply we'll talk you through any technical requirements you should be aware of.

Self-paced learning

This course allows you to set your own study pace – so you have flexibility and can fit your study around work and family commitments. We'll support you to set your own schedule and you'll be able to monitor your own progress and let us know if you get stuck.

Career outcomes

All Swinburne's diplomas are designed to help you reach your career goals. During your application we will make sure the outcomes of your chosen course match your goals. If the course doesn’t meet your goals, we can help you find another course or qualification that does!

Language, Literacy and Numeracy

If you haven’t completed Year 12 you will need to complete an online assessment to determine your Language, Literacy and Numeracy level. This is to make sure a diploma level qualification is suitable for you. If necessary, we’ll send you a link to the assessment during your application.
