Taught by experts

Taught by experts

You don’t need to be sitting in a classroom to have access to some of Swinburne’s best university tutors.

Swinburne Online’s team of academic professionals is dedicated to making your online study experience simple and rewarding. Each unit you’re enrolled in is facilitated by a tutor we refer to as an eLearning Advisor.

Each eLearning Advisor (also known as an eLA) is an industry specialist; a subject matter expert with extensive professional experience in their field, who has been specially trained for teaching in online environments.

Many still work in the field they teach in, providing you with a great source of knowledge and experience.

One-on-one guidance

eLearning Advisors are your primary source of one-on-one academic support. They will guide you through your course and post weekly activities to help you learn the unit content and provide assistance, feedback and support throughout your studies.

Our eLAs are never more than an email away.

Dedicated tutors

Swinburne Online students describe the guidance and support they have received from their eLAs:

  • helping with assessments and revision
  • providing one-on-one support for every unit
  • applying the learning materials to real world situations
  • facilitating and responding to discussion boards.
