Overview of the course

A Diploma of Human Resources Management (BSB50618) will give you the training you need to work as an HR professional in any workplace.

Coursework will equip you with the knowledge and skills to manage and retain staff, meet the legal requirements of the job, and to motivate and get the best out of your workforce.

The diploma requires that you first complete units in Introductory Human Resources Management Skills to develop fundamental business knowledge. With that completed you can embark on an additional 6 units to graduate with the diploma. If you decide not to continue, you can exit from the introductory skills course with a Statement of Attainment.

Please note: If you complete the Course in Introductory Skills within 5 months, you gain automatic entry into the diploma. You will have an additional 12 months from enrolment to complete the remaining units of the diploma.

This course is not available to international students.

What are the entry criteria?

To ensure you have the best chance of successfully completing your diploma, you may enter this course if you meet any of the below criteria.

  • Hold a Year 12 Certificate of Completion

OR

  • Completion of a Cert IV or above in any field

OR

  • Can demonstrate relevant work experience and meet the language, literacy and numeracy requirements to study at the diploma level.
