LANTITE Support Units
On 1 July 2016, the Australian Government introduced a new requirement for all undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education students. Before you can complete your course, you must pass the the national Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) test.
To help you prepare, we have built a diagnostic test in a new platform for both literacy and numeracy.
How does it work?
Step 1: Diagnostic Tests
The diagnostic tests are free practice tests designed to assess your personal numeracy and literacy levels. They test you on a range of concepts that are likely to be covered in the LANTITE Test.
You can take the diagnostic tests as many times as you like. After each attempt your results will highlight how well you understand the concepts covered. If you’d like to do more revision we have built support units that you can work through.
Download your student user guide HERE.
If you haven’t already registered, REGISTER HERE with your student email address and your login details will be emailed to you (please check junk/spam folders for email (from email@example.com).
Step 2: Optional Support units
Based on your diagnostic test results, if you feel you need to do more revision you may choose to work through the support unit for either literacy or numeracy (which you can access via the same login), or both.
The support units are fully self-paced, and you can work through them in your own time.
Swinburne Online will give you 12 months of free access to the support units, starting from when you first log in.
If you choose to partake in one or both of the units it is important that you watch the support unit introductory video below.
