Swinburne Online turned two today, reaching this important milestone by leading the online education charge in delivering best-in-class online degrees.
With over 5,000 students and growing, Swinburne Online’s unique approach to online study has been successful in offering online students a highly engaging and productive learning experience.
‘Swinburne Online was created to deliver innovation in online learning to a new group of students for Swinburne University of Technology. But we have delivered on more than this.
‘We have developed excellence in pedagogy and teaching and operationalised these within an organisation which is absolutely student focused,’ says Professor Kay Lipson, Academic Dean Swinburne Online.
To date, Swinburne Online offers 14 different degrees in Business, Education, Communication and Social Science. These courses are increasing in popularity amongst working adults as online delivery allows students to work and study concurrently.
Online students also have the benefit of receiving a great deal of support from the vast range of services offered by the Swinburne Online community.
‘There is no aspect of the company, and no person working within the team, who is not passionate about our students and their success. This drives everything we do every day, and I am very proud of what we have achieved in just two years,’ says Professor Lipson.
Swinburne University and SEEK’s public private venture has certainly grown since 2011. Swinburne Online has exceeded expectations in such a short period by leveraging the University’s quality course content with SEEK’s online marketing capabilities.
