Studying in your home country

Clara Devlin September 24, 2018

Alan lives in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia with his wife and two young daughters. He works full time while gaining an Australian degree from the comfort of his own home, enhancing his skills with a Bachelor of Business with a Major in Management through Swinburne Online.

Family support

For more than 22 years, Alan has been working in foreign exchange and is using his tertiary education to increase his skill set and future-proof his career.

“I have already used many of the skills that I have learnt during my time at Swinburne Online, and honestly, it’s been really helpful for my current job in foreign exchange,” Alan says.

Thanks to the flexibility of international online study, Alan is able to spend quality time with his young family.

“The best part about being able to study in my home country with Swinburne Online is that I can be with my family and gain an Australian degree at the same time,” Alan explains.

A leading university

Alan visited Australia in 1993 and loved every minute of his trip. When the time came to apply for a university, Alan discovered Swinburne Online and immediately thought it was the right fit for him and his family.

I chose Swinburne because it is a trusted brand in Australian higher education. I would recommend Swinburne Online to others as I find them to be one of the best online study platforms.

“My favourite part of online study is that I get to log on whenever, anytime and anywhere I want,” Alan explains.

Alan appreciates the flexibility Swinburne Online provides. It helps him balance family and work commitments, while studying to secure his future.

“Another benefit of online study is that I can either fast track or slow down my degree by changing how many units I complete per teaching period. I might even consider a postgraduate degree with Swinburne Online after I graduate,” Alan explains.
