Student Advisors are your one stop shop for student support. Whether you need technical assistance, advice on research or help with your assignments, our exceptional team of experts are on hand to make sure you have great support in your studies.
This week we spoke to Tamala, one of our Student Advisors to find out more about the Student Advisor role.
What do you do in this role?
Student Advisors are the first point of contact for student enquiries ranging from enrolment and fees, general technical support and getting started.
In my role I help students at all different stages of studying - from learning to navigate our learning management system to managing course progression.
What do you enjoy most about working with students?
I enjoy being able to take the journey with our students. There are the small victories of resetting a password at the start of the course and then speaking to that student again and helping them to organise their graduation
What is the most common issue students need help with?
Logging in to their online classroom. Remember to use Chrome or Firefox as your web browser!
What is one tip you can give to students when they encounter a problem?
We have lots of resources available to students. A good place to start is by checking the Student Portal, if it takes you longer that 10 minutes to find something though, please contact us.
If it’s not something we can assist with, we can certainly direct you to the people who can!
