Sue Kokonis - Executive Director, Academic
Sue Kokonis provides leadership of the Swinburne Online teaching and learning design teams. She has previously held senior learning and teaching leadership positions within the Higher Education sector and has been actively involved in online education for the last 15 years. Sue leads a team of passionate and motivated academics that engage students in excellent learning and teaching, which is informed, innovative and facilitates academic success.
Dr Nicki Wragg - Design Program Director
Nicki Wragg is responsible for taking Swinburne University of Technology’s renowned Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) and translating it to online. She is a senior lecturer at Swinburne University and is also secretary of the Australian Graphic Design Association Limited (AGDA). Her expertise lies in brand identity, publication design, communication design, typography and Design curriculum – online and on-campus.
Dr Jay Cohen - Learning Design Manager
Jay Cohen oversees the learning design team at Swinburne Online. In his role Jay provides leadership in regards to all matters pertaining to learning design, including design, pedagogy and quality. Jay has previously held both academic and business roles and has actively been involved in the online learning space for over 10 years.
Dr Nikki Rickard - Psychology Program Director
Nikki was awarded her PhD from La Trobe University in 1995 and is a registered psychologist. She began her academic career at Monash in 1996 where she held several roles including Associate Professor of Psychology and Chair of the Accreditation and Quality Committee for the School. Nikki has become a leading researcher in music psychology and in 2014 was appointed President of the Australian Music and Psychology Society, the peak professional body for music psychology in Australia.
Diane Robbie - Director of Learning
Diane has held senior management positions in primary and higher education providing leadership in teaching, professional development and learning design. Diane commenced at Swinburne Online in 2011 as Manager of the Learning Design team. Prior to Swinburne Online, she worked as a lecturer in higher education at Swinburne University of Technology and various academic development and online learning project management roles at RMIT and Victoria University. She holds a Bachelor of Education from University of Melbourne and a Master of Education from RMIT University.
Heather Russell - Management, Marketing and Sports Management Program Director
Heather's successful career in business and education spans almost 30 years. She has published numerous papers on management strategies and currently runs a consultancy specialising in business and HR strategy, executive coaching, leadership and executive development. Heather joins Swinburne Online after years of delivering post-graduate programs to executives at Swinburne University of Technology. As Program Director she is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a suite of business degrees.
Andrew Vincent - Accounting, Marketing and Public Relations Program Director
Andrew has worked in both senior administrative and academic roles at a number of universities. He joined Swinburne Online from Melbourne Polytechnic where he was a Senior Lecturer in Flexible Learning. He has worked previously at Victoria University, where he taught in the innovative professional development stream of units in the Business faculty and was a research fellow in the Department of Accounting at The University of Melbourne. Andrew is completing a PhD in Information Systems at Victoria University.
Rhonni Sasaki - Education Program Director
Rhonni has more than 15 years’ experience in education roles, with a background in science, teaching and educational design. She joined Swinburne Online in 2012, and has contributed across facilitation, coordination and learning design. In the role of Program Director, Rhonni oversees the design and delivery of our Education courses. She holds a B.Sc., Grad. Dip. Ed., Cert. in TEFL, Grad. Cert in Educational Design, and is currently completing her Master of Learning Sciences and Technology.
