Recording Video on a Smartphone/Tablet or Digital Camera

Recording video on your smartphone or tablet

You can use your smartphone to record video. If your tablet has a camera, you can also use that to record video.

In your camera app, set the recording mode to video, and make your recording. Every app is a bit different, so if you need more details, take a look at the app’s instructions.

When you’re done, you can upload your video directly to YouTube from the phone or tablet (see Uploading from a smartphone or tablet), or you can transfer it to your computer first.

Recording video on a digital camera

If your digital camera has a video mode, you can use it to record your video.

Just set your camera to record video, and make your recording. If you need more information, see your camera’s manual.

When you’re done, you can transfer the video to your computer, which will allow you to upload it to YouTube.
